GLOBAL SCHOOLS PARTNERSHIP WITH ASJA GIRLS' COLLEGE, TRINIDAD
Some S1 pupils are taking part in a British Schools Partnership between ASJA Girls' College in Tunapuna, Trinidad, and King's Park Secondary School. The project is based in the Geography department, and it compares the life of an S1 girl in Scotland, with an S1 girl in Trinidad. It involves correspondence between a group of girls from each school, and they are developing an understanding of one another's cultures.
Recently, Geography teacher Ms J Mullaney had the opportunity to visit the school in Trinidad, and a wealth of expertise was exchanged.
In May, we were delighted to welcome Acting Principal Ms Mohammed Khan from ASJA College and worked further on the project.
