Cost of Living webinars for Parents/Carers

Glasgow City Parents Group presents a series of webinars to support parents and carers navigate the Cost of Living Crisis.

In the first of the series, we have partnered with Home Energy Scotland, Drumchapel Citizen's Advice Bureau and GCC school Financial Inclusion Support Officers to present useful advice and information about home energy costs, debt advice and how FISOs are supporting families across our schools.

Home Energy Scotland is funded by the Scottish Government. It is the frontline delivery for the Scottish Government to provide every household across the country, with free impartial energy advice and to look to make homes energy efficiency efficient, warmer and cosier to live in.

Drumchapel Citizen’s Advice Bureau will be presenting information and advice on the importance of managing and maintaining energy costs as a priority household bill. Detailed information and advice on debts, budgeting and managing all priority household bills and information on cost of living support, grants and schemes.

The Financial Inclusion Support Officer (FISO) project provides financial inclusion support to parents and families in certain primary and secondary schools throughout the city. The project aims to provide one to one financial advice and support with the main aim to maximise parents' / families' incomes. This support can be in the form of helping to realise and claim unclaimed benefits, helping with the cost of living support and providing potential pathways to employability support.
