Hello and welcome to the Parents' Page!

On this page you will find information about the Parent Partnership, the minutes of our meetings, announcements pertinent to the parents/carers of pupils in the school, plus links to our twitter account.

The Parent Partnership

Kings Park Secondary School (KPSS) has an active and friendly Parent Partnership* (PP).

(*This is just another way of saying Parent Council - we feel it better reflects our aims.)

  • We meet on the first Tuesday of the month during term time
  • The Headteacher is usually present, or at least one other senior leader from the school
  • We meet to discuss issues that have been brought to us by parents/carers
  • We hear about activities in, or updates from, the school
  • We plan fundraising or event support
  • We occasionally meet some of the pupils from, for instance, the Youth Parliament. We also sometimes meet with other pupils who tell us about things they are involved in and projects they are working on
  • If we have completed the appropriate training, we are invited  to be involved in the interview process for senior staff.

We have a very positive and productive working relationship with the school that is based on trust.

If you’d like to hear about these meetings, or you’d like to know more about the PP, please email us at and your name and email address will be added to our Parent Forum email list. Any parent/carer can be part of the Parent Forum.

Once on the list you will be asked, a week or so before each meeting, if there are any matters you’d like to see added to the Agenda for discussion at the next meeting. You can then attend the meeting and take part in the discussion relating to your item.

You are most welcome to just attend meetings and listen in or, additionally, you can become a member of the Parent Partnership if you wish to be more involved.
