Journée européenne des langues, le 26 septembre”

This year we celebrated European Day of Languages in a variety of ways at King’s Park Secondary School. This annual event celebrates language and cultural diversity throughout Europe.

We published our daily and weekly bulletin headings in German and Spanish.
Pupils in S1 worked with their French Teachers and their Geography Teachers to research French-speaking countries – “la Francophonie” and produced lots of interesting display materials with all of their new information.

Pupils in S3 and S2 prepared a “European Day of Languages” powerpoint to display on the plasma screens and display materials for the Modern Languages corridor.

We even asked staff to greet pupils in French, German, Spanish and any other language which they were familiar with, as well as writing the date on their board/SmartBoard.
