S4 Creative Writing Workshop
I don’t think of myself as the best writer, but help from Linda Jackson from Strathclyde University has inspired us to broaden our intellectual minds.
Yesterday on the 4th November 2010, Mrs Jackson unveiled a new format of teaching. By using workshop methods, she transformed our English class into one of masterful writing. Starting from something as simple as a colour, shape and emotion we were able to develop an imaginative response.
After teaching us how to write creatively, Mrs Jackson invited us to post our short stories to her blog, she also asked for us to attend Reading the Waves on December 2nd to grasp how a writer thinks and expresses their minds. Here we hope that our class will transform into many successful writers.
