CONGRATULATIONS TO CAMPBELL
In November 2011, three senior pupils entered a competition to win a paid internship with the local MSP James Dornan. They were S5 pupil Campbell M and S6 pupils Kathryn McWhirter and Ashley Murphy.
The pupils were to write an extended essay with a contemporary Scottish theme and then be interviewed by James Dornan and a teacher from another school for the post. There were 13 pupils entered into the competition from various schools from Mr. Dornan’s constituency and therefore there was keen competition for the post.
In January, it was announced that our pupil Campbell had been deemed the most suitable candidate for the post. He is due to start in his new post as Intern in February 2012. Well done to all the participants!
