WELL DONE TO S4 SKILLS FOR WORK HOSPITALITY CLASS

S4 Skills for Work Hospitality Class put on their final event of the year.
Invited guests enjoyed a two course meal with tea/coffee.
Pupils spent the morning preparing all dishes from scratch. The menu for today :
- Sweet Potato & Red Pepper Soup
- Malay Style Chicken & Rice
- Home made truffles accompanied the tea coffee.
All the pupils made soup and truffles. After this, the pupils split themselves into two groups. One group transformed a classroom into our ‘popup’ restaurant. The other group stayed in the kitchen and prepared the main course. Both groups took a turn to work Front of House and interact with the customers.
Customers commented positively on the quality of the food, the ambience of the room and the calm and professional waiting staff.
Pupils had an opportunity to understand the pressures of the Hospitality Industry.
