CHEMISTRY FESTIVAL - 'BEST TRIP EVER'!
... That's what Ross said after the recent excursion to the University of the West of Scotland. Here is Ms Rikabi's report.
Four pupils from S3 (who scored the highest in assessments) were invited to join in a Chemistry Festival at the University of the West of Scotland. Several schools from all over scotland attended. They had to perform a problem solving tasks and use professional lab equipment, some of which they had not seen before. I am pleased to say that these 4 pupils were excellent representatives of our school in every way. They worked co-operatively as a team to solve the problem. Later they enjoyed a chemistry show by Dr. Ewin in the Chemistry Department. They were extremely excited and happy to attend. I hope we will make an anuual visit and that it will spark some competition between pupils.
