Hi
My name is Nicole Dinwoodie I am 12 years old.
I attend Dancepoint Musical Theatre where I do all sorts of dance including Disco, Ballet, Commercial, Popping, Limbering, and Singing & Drama!!
My Dance teacher recently entered my team called The Box into a competition called Got to Dance which will be broadcasted on Sky1 on 3rd January hosted by Davina McColl
We went to Edinburgh for the audition and were judged by Ashley Banjo from Diversity, Kimberley Wyatt from Pussy Cat Dolls and Adam Garcia. We had to perform in front of all three judges and we could receive up to 3 gold stars depending how much they liked us!!
After we performed we were very happy to receive three stars one from each judge we then got some very good feed back from all of the judges!!
Edinburgh was the first auditions the judges then had to go to London and Manchester to see all the other acts, they would then do a shortlist of 100 and then finally shortlist 18 acts to appear on live television for the semi final!!
My dance teacher got a call from the producers of Got to Dance to say that they would be coming out to our dance school to do some filming for the show we still didn’t know if we were through or not!!
The producers and camera men came out last week to do some filming and the next minute Kimberly Wyatt came walking through the door it was so unreal to have Kimberley from the Pussy Cat Dolls standing in my Dance School!!
She started off by saying do you all remember when you came to Edinburgh for your first audition and you did your routine in front of myself, Ashley, and Adam well we have now seen thousands of acts and we have made up our minds who we want in the semi final and guess what you are in our final 18!! We couldn’t believe it we all started jumping up and down screaming and shouting. She then spent lots of time getting filmed with us it was all very exciting!!
The semi finals run on 24, 31 January and 7th February. My act The Box will be on the 7th February 2010!!
