SHARES4SCHOOLS - WELL DONE!
Our Intermediate 1 and 2 Business Management class are participating in the 2011-12 Shares4Schools competition.
This competition allows schools to invest real money into the London Stock Market.
In September 2011, we started off with a budget of £1,500. We initially invested money into Royal Bank of Scotland Group, BT Group and Scottish and Southern Energy. Later we sold out shares in BT Group and purchased shares in Old Mutual, EasyJet and Domino’s Pizza UK.
Every month during the competition, schools have a chance to win money. We won February’s monthly competition and received a cheque for £200. We answered a series of business related questions and submitted our answers.
