PARENT FORUM - ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
Thank you to everyone who attended the Annual General Meeting of the Parent Forum. We listened to pupils' singing, admired pupils' ceramic work, and heard about the Fairtrade Group, Food Co-op and school eco garden. If you want to help, please contact Mr David Lonie. The Modern Languages department had an interesting display of work from the department and Sports Captains signed up parents who were willing to help with sport at school. If you want to help, please contact Mr Stephen Capaldi. All of this was accompanied by refreshments served by pupils (and a glass of wine served by parents!)
The new Chair of the Parent Council - Mr Simon Bates - welcomed everyone to the meeting. After a brief annual report, he suggested that the Parent Council could focus on one project to help the school, eg the 'greening' of the playground area, or a new mini-bus. He then invited discussion and lots of ideas and opinions were shared. The first meeting of the Parent Council for session 2010-11 will be held on Tuesday 21st September at 7 pm in room 103, and everyone is warmly welcomed.
