(Tue 7 Dec)  All Glasgow schools are closed today, Tuesday 7 December.

(Mon 6 Dec) Following the further heavy snow, children who can make their way home safely, and who have their parents’ permission, may leave school at 2.00 pm. If children do not have their parents’ permission to leave school early, they must remain in school and be supervised by school staff. We also understand that there is no public transport, so children who choose to walk home should do so in groups, for their safety. We will attempt to contact parents by text, and all children are being given a letter for parents.

(Wed 1 Dec) UPDATE - We have just been informed that all Glasgow schools are closed today Wednesday 1 December.
................................................
(Tue 30 Nov) During the current adverse weather, our aim is to keep the school open and running normally where possible.

On Tuesday 30th November, following a risk assessment regarding the health and safety of children and staff, it was agreed that children who could make their way home safely, and who had their parents’ permission, could leave school at 2 pm.  Unfortunately our text messaging system let us down and text messages to parents did not get through.  However, we emphasised strongly to our pupils that they must remain in school until the normal closing time if they did not have their parents’ permission to leave school early, and these pupils were supervised by school staff.

Thank you to parents for making arrangements so that your children know what you would like them to do in such an emergency.
