Visit to the Marriott Hotel November 2010
As part of this course pupils study a unit called ‘Working in the Hospitality Industry’.
This unit gives the pupils an understanding of the potential careers in the huge area of the Hospitality Industry. Pupils are also required to prepare a portfolio describing careers and progression routes within various aspects of the Hospitality Industry.
During the visit to the Marriott Hotel, Glasgow, the pupils were shown into all areas of the hotel. Mr John Connelly answered all questions put to him and offered an enthusiastic insight into the highs and lows of working in a major International hotel chain.
