CONGRATULATIONS TO JAMIE - ONCE IN A LIFETIME EXPERIENCE
King's Park pupil Jamie was fortunate to go into his mum's work recently, when the Olympic and Paralympic Torches were touring. What a wonderful experience. Jamie tells us:
'It was an exciting experience that I got to hold the Olympic and Paralympic torches, as it is a once in a lifetime experience. The Olympic torch has 8,000 holes on it, which represents the number of people that will carry it from John O'Groats to London. The top of the torch is triangular, which represents the 3 times that the Olympics have been to London - 1908, 1948 and 2012.'
